Erika & Eli

Part 2 - February 23, 2024

Los Angeles, Caliofrnia

Nine months after the nearly tragic ending of Erika and Eli’s wedding ceremony, they gathered their friends and family to finally celebrate at their reception.

The couple got ready together at Hotel Per La in Downtown Los Angeles. The groom popped a bottle of champagne and then lost his bow tie, but it was all smiles as they prepared to head to the reception held at The Grass Room, a sister venue to their ceremony space. It was decorated in lush florals and a homemade disco ball spinner, but the decorations were quickly overshadowed by the joy of Eli, Erika, and their guests. They wasted little time before they dove into the long overdue speeches, and I have to say, I have never heard this caliber of wedding speech in my life. It is one of the great perks of being friends with comedians. There was not a dry eye or unsplit side in the room. I laughed, cried, and forgot I was being paid to be there.

The night was filled with laughter and magic, literally, and it was well worth the wait.
